[S5E15] Dodge This

The episode opens in Wing Kingdom as the park staff are celebrating a promising dodgeball practice, where Benson received a concussion. The park staff are all in awe of Mordecai's impressive dodgeball ability, capped off by his signature move, the "Tornado", whilst Benson may have had a wing too many, incessantly stating that it's the Benson's Ballerz' time to win for the first time in ten years.

The scene changes to the dodgeball arena, where all the teams are warming up. Rigby is showing off to Mordecai a "Rignado", which knocks out the referee and results in Benson forbidding him from using this technique. A stray ball rolls past Mordecai, so he goes to pass the ball back, but the player who threw it turns out to be CJ. CJ freezes upon seeing Mordecai and the ball hits her chest without her thinking. This leaves both feeling uncomfortable and Mordecai runs out to the hallway. Rigby tries to comfort him, but Mordecai says he can't play against CJ.

Benson's Ballerz immediately face off against rival team East Pines, whom they easily defeat; Benson knocks out rival Gene. A montage begins as the Thunder Girls (CJ's team), aided by CJ's signature softball technique throw, beat their opponents, which include the coffee bean and his translator from Caffeinated Concert Tickets. The Guardians of Youth and the Magical Elements are also one of the other teams, and beat their opposition whilst Benson's Ballerz win their games which include beating Sensei's Death Kwon Do team. Benson's Ballerz face off against the Magical Elements in the semi final matchup. Pops, Thomas, Muscle Man and High Five Ghost are immediately beaten, but Skips manages to catch three of the Eternal Guardians of Youth's balls. He and Benson knock out the basketball god and the wizard, while Mordecai beats Death and another Guardian of Youth, leaving only 1 Guardian and Gary remaining. However, Mordecai freezes up as CJ's talking distracts him and he's knocked out. Incensed by this, Benson defeats Gary, but he and Skips are knocked out by the remaining Guardian. The result is now a one-on-one battle between Rigby and a Guardian of Youth, leaving Benson distressed. Despite the odds, Rigby defeats the Guardian using his aforementioned "Rignado". As everyone is congratulating Rigby, Benson questions Mordecai on his defeat, and Rigby taunts that CJ was the one who got Mordecai knocked out. Mordecai feels awkward for going up against CJ's team but Benson insists to him that losing is not an option.

The final begins between Benson's Ballerz and the Thunder Girls. Each member swiftly knocks out one another, leaving only Mordecai and CJ left, but they're at a stalemate. As a last resort, they both use their signature moves simultaneously, but the balls hit each other and ricochet back to Mordecai and CJ, causing them both to disappear in midair. They are then teleported to the Intergalactic Dodgeball Council who believe they've reached an infinite standoff because they're avoiding their history together. CJ and Mordecai dismiss this but flashbacks of their past proves them wrong. Mordecai reveals he's worried as every encounter he's had with CJ results in him messing up, and that he understands why CJ is mad at him, But CJ reveals she's not mad at him, as she was just embarrassed and thought he was mad at her, leaving both feeling slightly dumb about the situation. With the misunderstanding cleared up, they decide to start over and be friends, agree that the New Year's kiss meant nothing, and they are sent back to resume the game.

As they return, Mordecai and CJ are still at a stalemate as to who should let whom win. Finally, he lets her throw a dodgeball right into his face. Benson is devastated; eleven years losing in a row. "It was the Ballerz' year!" he bawls, "THE BALLERZ' YEAR!" Mordecai and CJ congratulate each other on a good game, but CJ playfully boasts about winning to which they both laugh as friends. Benson, meanwhile, is kneeling on the ground, sobbing over his defeat. Skips comes in and reassures him "Don't worry, there's always next year." "I need a wing real bad", replies Benson.

The intensity of that standoff between them was positively delicious. Alyssa Diaz and Brandon Jay McLaren play off each other incredibly well, and they were delivering during this installment with their every scene.

If she's a supposed survivor, as he claims, she should be getting the hell out of dodge as soon as humanly possible. Because she isn't, it makes me wonder if she'll be crucial to taking down Elijah for good in the future.

I felt for everyone as the entire sting fell apart before their eyes. One can only imagine how guilty Thorsen will feel about all of this. The withering look Lucy shot him was unlike anything she's exuded before, and I would've shrunk down triple my size if I were on the receiving end of it.

Angela was beside herself because she knew how she's made things infinitely more dangerous for herself and her family. After all, this fell through. Not only is her battle with Elijah not over, but it's reared up.

In Hank's truck, Peggy begs Luanne to calm down as it unnerves her uncle. Luanne says if she knew Zack was going to act like such a bust, she never would have had sex with him in the first place. When Hank hears that, it throws off his concentration for a moment. Hank realizes that this means Luanne's not a virgin, but Luanne says she had stopped being a virgin long ago and has already had sex with several men. Hank retorts with that no one likes a quitter. Luanne then naïvely states that Zack liked her, and so did her past boyfriends such as her now deceased boyfriend, Buckley. Hank then says there's someone that'd love her more if Luanne didn't sell herself out like that and "swing over to his bachelor pad." At the church, Reverend Stroup is having a conversation with them, saying Luanne has sinned, then says if young people like Luanne didn't sin, then Stroup would be out of a job. Nobody seems to laugh, so Stroup tells Luanne there is hope yet in restoring her purity. Before she can even answer, Peggy answers for Luanne, and Stroup says that Luanne can be a born-again virgin. Hank, in disbelief, asks how Stroup can pull that off. Stroup then explains the process to the three people present, such as not having sex again until marriage and attending the Youth Abstinence program. Luanne accepts with, "I'm willing to try anything once.", with Stroup looking odded out with Luanne's choice of words. Stroup then asks the Hills if they are willing to be Luanne's "celibacy sponsors", people who protect the virginity of a person. Although this is not in the Bible, Hank is willing to go for it.

The males are seen first. A man named Larry begins by telling the men about testifying about the number of sexual relations they've had and to start, Larry openly admits he slept with four people. Larry then asks Hank about the number, and Hank, as expected, doesn't want to have this discussion and only says he's there due to being a sponsor. Larry then pressures the answer out of Hank that he could be a role model for the emerging virgins and it could make a difference between going all the way or going into Heaven. Hank reluctantly tells the men that he's had his share of girlfriend, but his Coach had always told Hank to save his sexual frustrations for football and later, Peggy would come along into his life and things got heavy, but she insisted they wait until marriage (a hypocritical statement from Peggy), and after their wedding night, Hank thanks her every day for that. Long story short, Hank has only had one sexual partner. A shy man by the name of Rhett Van Der Graaf, who goes after Hank, says that he too only has had one sexual partner, but he was not married and hates himself for the spur of the moment decision. He was getting a massage at an arts and crafts fair as he had taken his shirt off. The woman he lost his virginity to had put him face down on a chair and started rubbing his shoulders, brushing against him, and then Rhett says he had "sinned in his pants". This means that Rhett has not lost his virginity yet. Hank nervously says that he specializes in propane more than this, so he leaves the group to go do that.

In Nancy and Dale's home, Peggy is still ridden with remorse over what happened years ago, sitting in silence. Nancy breaks the ice by stating that she shouldn't let Hank know about this. Peggy then says that the guilt of years ago has made her feel horrible to the point of hardly being able to sleep or eat. Nancy tries to reassure Peggy that she looks wonderful, but Peggy gives a half-agreement, but is still suffering stress.

Peggy and Hank are stupefied at this revelation, with Hank objecting by saying she hardly knows Rhett. Luanne then says that they have something in common: being virgins. Hank then tells her this is true because this was his idea, and he was the reason Rhett and Luanne even met, two days before the dance. Luanne then happily says and it gets better as time flew on. Peggy then decides to show Luanne what would happen at her wedding: Peggy would object to it. Incredulous, Luanne asks if her aunt wanted her to be married, and Peggy says she does want Luanne married, but not to Rhett, a man that Luanne had just met. Luanne refuses her aunt's advice, dismissing it as Peggy downplaying Luanne. Peggy insists she is only protecting Luanne from her natural impulses, and Luanne retorts with this might be hard for her to accept, but Peggy should be happy as she'd be the first Platter female to walk down the aisle a virgin. Hank tries to defend Peggy by saying that he and Peggy had waited 18 years, but Luanne cuts Hank off quickly and tells Hank the truth: Peggy had slept with another man before Hank, much to his shock and disgust, with Wayne being a homosexual not helping the matter. 041b061a72
