[FS9 FSX P3D X-Plane] Navigraph AIRAC Cycle 1712 Hack Online
now for the next bit of experimentation. i opened x-plane, via the file menu, and clicked on the locate file menu item. selecting navigraph/airac cycle 1712 from the dropdown menu, brought up the dialog file name entry window. navigraph has a default offset of 1 which i would not expect to be useful. i then changed the number to match one of the other cycles (in this case, the gns430 cycle). after clicking ok, x-plane stated that the file had been located and it was a navdata. the result was a x-plane status of navig 8. while i was happy with this result, i did not yet know if the location chosen would also work with the current navigraph data - and it did not, so i then returned to the navigraph window.

navigating the navigraph window and dragging the navig 8 control up and down the menu bar allowed me to change the airac data, indicated by the navig 8 status. it all seemed to work fine. i then compared this current data with the navigraph data and the x-plane custom data folder and they were the same.
i then made the change to match the gns430 cycle. however, a final check against the x-plane custom data folder and the navigraph custom data folder showed that they were now different. ok, so that's the version in the custom data folder.
anyways, when i get the current update, i can already find out what is wrong, and file a bug report. todays problem is that my one of the best tools has crashed. i can no longer download navigraph's 'x-plane airac updates' file.. it will probably be back tomorrow. for now i suggest you do some research on the cycle on your own.
