I shall be trying to see if Stuffit works too after reading that WinZip works. One of the things I like about your blog is that it sets the brain going and often I can extend or modify your ideas to suit my particular needs.
Kirstie. (I haven't downloaded the beta 1 yet.) My thought (as an Avast user too), is to try another free source virus scanner like Malwarebytes, Spybot, etc, and see if tthey detect anything. I'm leaning towards avast hasn't seen much on the inkscape beta and that could be why it got targeted for a warning, but that's just my thought, could be totally wrong. Just curious, did you move the pgm to the usual pgm folder? I can remember that happening to an older version (48 something I think) and inkscape didn't run, kept crashing, but once I moved it it was fine.
Hi Flamingolady,Thank you for your comment. As a matter of fact, I did not install this version in the usual program folder. It is a computer on which I work everyday, so I really need a stable Inkscape, which is 0.92.4 at the moment. The new beta version was for testing and I installed it somewhere on my Data disc, just to try it out.
Just as a reminder, the general rule in this forum is politeness and kindness. If someone wants to rant about something, they should title a new message to that effect, so that visitors can avoid it, if they don't want to see it.
As you may already know, 'IDP.Generic' refers to a file which appears to exhibit the same behavior as known malware. AVG say that the first step is to ensure that your anti-virus software and definitions are fully updated then perform a threat scan. If the problem persists, contact AVG with the full details or try a solution here -is-idp-generic-is-it-a-virus-or-false-positive/
Today I re-tried, thanks to your reviving this topic, and this time I explicitely opened 7-zip as administrator. Now Avast did not protest. And more new Inkscape features appeared too.So I think I will give my answer here a green check, as my questions are solved.
A fellow back in 2010 ( =25) here made the disingenuous comment that certificates were expensive. In fact, each certificate costs around $130 and you could easily get corporate sponsors to pay for this. But you don't and you won't and a smart person can guess why: if you do this, other malware and unwanted apps will no longer be interested in piggy-backing on top of your download when people get them from sites harboring monetizing download managers. Why would they? Your become useless to them when you have a certificate -- they can no longer hide behind you. With a certificate, if they modify you it will show up as unverified.
I have already been in touch with Acronis who mistakenly recommended your software and I educated them why they are complicit in this devious scheme to avoid certificates. Anyone who reads this, ask Mark Russinovich of Microsoft if I am correct or if the mealy-mouth rebuttals I expect are.
While I agree that 7zip should be digitally signed on Windows, your bug reads more like an attack than anything. Getting a digital signing setup working on Windows is not trivial if you've never done it before, and I suspect that, in addition to the cost, the author has a hard time justifying the time investment needed.
7zip is favored by many mod makers because it can produce dramatically smaller files than the other formats. It's also free, open-source, and supports all of the other common formats, so if you want to cover all your bases with one download, get 7zip.
Note: It is recommended you defragment your hard drive every time you install or uninstall software to ensure a clean running computer, if you havent done it for a while it could take up to an hour or so, if you do it on a regular basis it will take around 15 minutes. I also use Ad-Aware, Spybot, Xoftspy, The Cleaner and AVG Anti Spware / Virus software to keep my computer in top running condition.

The 'Animate' and 'Preview' model sets are included with the demo version. All others require 'Core' or 'Pro' versions to work.To install downloaded sets, unzip (using the 7-zip utility) into the 'FaceGen/Model Sets/' subdirectory of your user documents directory.
A head mesh divided into face (630 tris) and head (292 tris) halves with different texture maps, a full set of animation morphs, and a torso. Optimized for real-time modification with the FaceGen SDK. Also includes mouth (82 tris) and torso (250 tris).

1.- I have executed "reduce databases" on all databases and in the end "Data" occupies 45Gb and "Backup" 5Gb. If I compress "Data and Backup" in a .rar the size is 4Gb. Does this make any logic or has someone screwed up and they NEVER fix it? Any suggestions or just do Zen meditation if your databases are Sql Server?
OK, so there is a language barrier here. I understand from your other thread that you are using SQL Server in Spanish, which means that you have to make a guess on what the word is in English. The word is Shrink, not Reduce. (And to make it clear, this is the option which just above Back Up, right)
Remember that the link is to the feedback system, which is not a forum for discussion. You will not get respond there probably and if you want your feedback to be accepted then it is a good idea to get many people to vote for it. With that said, I am sure that if you will come with better algorithm, which balance well between the performance and the compressions size, then you will gain a huge thanks from the team.
With "Reduce" I mean: being on top of the database, right button, tasks, reduce, database. I have also decided to activate the right button, properties, Options, "Automatic reduction". It may be that option that you say "should not be used". For the rest, I do not know the reasons, but if "winrar" compresses 50gb to 4gb it is because there are more than 30gb of blank spaces, and that after "Reduce", so "Reduce" is not working either. For the rest, even if I am expelled from this blog again to "shut my mouth", I still say that Microsoft's biggest mistake with Sql Server is that it does nothing to fix the errors "in case they affect current users". In this way, we continue to use the technology created decades ago and there is no option for improvement. That is the worst thing to do. You can always constantly improve the product and, with each new version, tell people "try it first because the improvements could affect you". Evolution has disappeared and we have to turn to past mistakes.

Cellular-level models were developed according the principles established in the analysis of Arabidopsis leaf development [6] but extended from a flat sheet to a curved sheet embedded in three dimensions. The surface of the initial canvas was tiled with an array of cells with mean cell area of 50 μm2 (approximately 350 cells). As in Arabidopsis, we invoked a dual-control model in which there is spatiotemporal regulation of both growth (Kpar and Kper) and cell division. Cell division required expression of a factor conferring division competence (CDIV) that was expressed throughout the canvas (except in the STK region) until 6.5 DAI, after which it was switched off. Execution of division occurred when cells reached a threshold area, TA, set to 70 μm2. Assuming symmetric division, this would give daughters of 35 μm2 and a mean cell area of approximately 50 μm2. Thus, incorporating cells involved two additional parameters, both of which were experimentally constrained: mean division threshold TA = 70 μm2 and inactivation of CDIV in all cells at 6.5 DAI. For simplicity, the mouth region was modelled in a similar way to the rest of the tissue and is shown in grey in output images. Cell sizes and cell shapes were an emergent property that resulted from running the model.
