The Dream Academy - Life In A Northern Town (Extended Version) 1985

Young Sheldon may be ending after season 7, and a brand-new behind-the-scenes image exemplifies why. TV's #1 comedy has been on the air for more than six years now, and because of The Big Bang Theory's canon, it has a pre-established ending that CBS may or may not follow. However, there could be a different reason why the series is wrapping up, aside from the fact that George's death is near.

In a new behind-the-scenes image shared by Iain Armitage on his official Instagram account, it's revealed that CBS is keeping a track of how much he and his younger Young Sheldon co-stars have grown at the end of every year. Check out the photo below:

Ahead of the release of Young Sheldon season 6 episode 15, Iain Armitage shares a new image that teases some problems between Sheldon and George. The birth of Georgie and Mandy's baby gives the Coopers a cause for celebration. Instead of coming together over the occasion, things are looking glum for the family because of the deteriorating status of George and Mary's marriage.

While Mandy gives birth, Georgie and Mary have a big argument in the hospital, and their issues may soon impact the rest of the clan, including Sheldon per this new Young Sheldon season 6 episode 15 image from Armitage. Check it out below:

CBS has released the first official photos from the anticipated Big Bang Theory spinoff on Wednesday -- and young star Iain Armitage, who plays young Sheldon Cooper, is absolutely adorable as the miniature version of the mathematics genius.

The current TV season still has weeks left to go before summer hiatus begins, but CBS' Young Sheldon has already wrapped filming on the current Season 6. The news comes courtesy of Raegan Revord, who plays Missy Cooper on the Big Bang Theory spinoff. The young actress celebrated the end of another season of the hit sitcom with some fun behind-the-scenes photos and videos, including one with a surprise High School Musical twist!

Personally, though, my favorite of Revord's photos and videos has to be the clip of her waiting and then throwing a stuffed animal at Iain Armitage. As somebody with brothers of my own, that feels very true to life for any portrayal of siblings! All in all, there's enough nostalgia in the series of images that fans should probably be happy that a Season 7 is already guaranteed... with the complication that Young Sheldon is quickly catching up to the Sheldon Cooper timeline established by The Big Bang Theory.

If The Big Bang Theory is your family's sitcom of choice, you'll almost definitely want to at least peek at Young Sheldon, since this show shares a similar vibe and tone. It's a little more family-oriented -- 9-year-old Sheldon isn't likely to have sex and marriage plot complications -- and pitched to appeal to younger viewers, who may relate to plotlines about school bullies and fitting in. Or they may not, since the younger viewers who might appreciate such goings on are more likely to be watching YouTube play-throughs than tuning into CBS with Mom and Dad.

Sheldon Cooper is a quirky and lovable genius who has difficulty dealing with social cues and social situations. The character was introduced on The Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon centers around his younger exploits and the Cooper family. At the start of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon is portrayed as self-centered, awkward and isolated. Throughout the show, his relationships and emotions blossomed, and he ended the series in a much different place. The younger version has seen similar growth over the first five seasons of Young Sheldon as well.
